First year students on the course recently completed a project on the theme of 'Body Map'. Polish student Martyna Dawidowska responded to the brief with a 3-dimensional piece of work (pictured) that made reference to her nationality and spiritual beliefs. The life-size sculpture is decorated with cut paper stencils – a traditional form of arts and crafts in her country – and also includes a set of working lights. The piece alludes to shrines which are a common sight in Poland.
